Let more Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s arise to wipe out the menace for once and all

Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, 31 a commando officer from Kerala who led encounter against Jihadi’s was killed on Friday morning at the Taj hotel. Sandeep, belonging to Cheruvanoor in Kozhikode, is settled in Bangalore.


 

Sandeep, an army officer was first posted in the Gujarat Regiment and later appointed in the National Security Guard (NSG) considering his excellence in service.Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was with the 51 Special Action Group of the force and was with the NSG on deputation. He has been with the Black Cat commando force for the last two years. The officer had joined the NSG on deputation in January 2007 after having served two tenures with his battalion in counter insurgency and counter terrorism roles.


 

Sandeep was the son of former ISRO officer Unnikrishnan and Dhanalakshmi. He visited his parents seven months back and was planning to visit the state next month.
