“Does Pinarayi know to roll a Beedi?”- M.V.Devan

Kochi:”Has Pinarayi Vijayan ever worked in his whole life? Does he know how to wrap a Beedi?” – asks noted artist and intellect, Shri.M.V.Devan.

Devan’s  sharp criticism on Communist leaders took place in Ernakulam Press Club during the commemoration function of late Victor George.

Todays Marxist party leaders who boasts themselves as the leaders of poor and peasants don’t know the value of workmanship and labour. None of the neo communist leaders have any work background. Chief minister Achuthanandan is the only exception who has at least spent some years of his life as a tailor.

We have a minister for the co-operative society, who walks around with mouth full of dirt & abuses. Such people can be compared only to howling foxes, In today’s scenario, ‘Brahmaswoms’ and ‘Devaswoms’ are the properties of politicians who consider themselves to be the divine messengers.

Shri.Devan accused
EMS for destroying the farm lands and associated eco-system, of Kerala. Land reforms act wiped out the paddy fields for ever. People who built up luxury bungalows and party offices in dried up paddy-fields are now preaching about protection of nature.

Edassery had forseen the ill effects of Land reforms act while he created his famous play “Koottukrishi”. Marxist party which is solely responsible for the failure of Kerala in every front, they are only capable of generating little comrades who lack self identity. They are training these little lambs to believe and follow the the party dictates ,without questioning the leaders. Anyone who criticises, will be called a syndicate or yellow journalist – fumed Devan.

It’s a welcoming sign that, now the intellectuals are slowly realizing that it was their silence so far made the condition so worse. What Devan told is the view of many so called intellects but they are not ready to utter a word against the party for their selfish needs.
