THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: P K Krishnadas today assumed charge as the new BJP state president. Thousands of party workers were given him a warm welcome at the party office in the state capital today.

Talking to reporters after assuming the charge of state president, Krishnadas said the party would be strengthened in the state. He strongly criticized the governments move to revamp the Devaswom Board. “The government have no right to control  the temple and its properties. The aim of this move is to loot crores of income generating through the temples & to fill CPM thugs in to key posts to takeover the temple administration. The income generating through these temples should be utilized for the welfare of Hindus and not for the government or any party fund”, he told reporters at the capital.

Krishnadas hints BJP’s plans for major agitations on three issues, Islamic terrorism in Kerala, government control over temples and vote bank politics. However he assured his party’s full support to the government for the developments in the state.
