Kozhikode blasts: Maudani may be quizzed

Kozhikode: Officials of the NIA may interrogate PDP chairman Abdul Nazar Maudani in relation with the Kozhikode twin blast case. Sources close to NIA hinted that the primary investigation would be to find out if Maudani was part of the conspiracy, which resulted in the twin blasts. Halim, one among those arrested by the crime branch in connection with the blasts had confessed that he was introduced to Nazir by Maudani. Many others who are under arrest had also hinted relation with Maudani.

Officials of NIA would be interrogating all those who where quizzed by the crime branch earlier. Officials have already collected all the details including testimony provided by the accused to the crime branch. The interrogation would be based on the details provided by Nazir, after his arrest.

NIA would be registering two cases in relation to Kozhikode blasts. Though the cases would be interrelated separate reports and charge sheets would be submitted. The cases would be registered in Kozhikkode. An SP well versed in Arabic and Urudu has been given charge of the investigation.
