via HK published on April 6, 2007

Kozhikode: As the probe proceeds in the blast rocked the city , the suspicion towards the role of Islamic terrorists operating in the state enhances.

The explosive experts suspect the foul play after their initial investigation. The intensity of the explosion points towards the usage of high power explosives behind this. The powerful explosions were heard within a circumference of 7km.Even the far away buildings got cracked due to the power of explosions. Concrete beams weighing tonnes were flew to more than half kilometre distance due to the impact and the experts say; no way it will  happen with an explosion from fire crackers.

The assistance of Intelligence and forensic have been sought and a crime branch enquiry has been ordered. The Police are also analysing previous threatening letters received in the name of Islamic terrorist organisation.

After the twin blast in Kozhikode bus stand officials received a letter in the name of NDF, PDP and SIMI saying that their mission is to bring the city into ashes. Another letter received in the name of ‘Al Qanoon Kerala’ in the wake of Jelatin stick recovery from Kozhikode KSRTC Bus stand also warns about a bigger bomb blast sooner or later in the city.

Central intelligence and Defence Ministry has warned Home Ministry number of times about the pertinent threat impending the state from ISI sponsored terrorists.

What we needs now is a impartial enquiry from the side of Crime branch and let not the same fate of enquiries fall on this also.
