Kiss of Love, a Mask for Online Sex Racket? KOL organiser couple arrested

Kochi: Rahul Pasupalan, the Communist goon who, until recently was the hero of many left liberals, has been arrested for running an online sex racket. Once hailed as the exponent of the controversial ‘Kiss-of-Love’ series which was publicly staged in various parts of Kerala under the guise of freedom of expression, Rahul Pasupalan and Resmi Nair, his wife the model who promoted herself with scanty robes were arrested in Kochi, along with one of their chief agents Akbar. The online sex racket is said to have promoted pedophilia (child sex), with minor girls being trafficked from states outside Kerala.

The matter came to light when police received covert inputs regarding a couple of Facebook posts related to pedophilia. The social media platform was under scanner since then. It is then that information to an online child sex racket was ascertained. Under covert operations, police posed as middlemen, which led to the revelation that minor girls were brought in from other states for nefarious activities. Many serial actresses are also said to be involved in the racket.

The raid was conducted by a special police squad under the directive of the Rural SP of Ernakulam, with raids being conducted simultaneously at Malappuram, Thrissur and Palakkad. The arrest came following an operation named Operation Big Daddy, which made major crack-downs all over the state, busting several sex rackets across the state. According to reports, there have been instances where the police personnel who were in charge of their arrest, had to face peril to their lives.
