Kidnapped Hindu rescued from Islamic conversion centre in Manjeri

Manjeri: There has been a breakthrough in the case where a middle aged man was forcibly taken, to be converted religiously into the faith of Islam. According to sources, there were ample offers to him if he converts to Islam.Sasidharan was allegedly kidnapped by members of Marqasool Hidaaya, a terror linked Jihadi group from Manjeri and converted to Islam.

According to sources, Sasidharan, who was rescued by various Hindu groups and police personnel, was produced in court at Muttom. He was later sent home, along with security, under condition that he would be produced in court on a specified date later.

Sasidharan, who appeared in court on Saturday, confirmed that he wanted to live the rest of his life as a Hindu and requested that he be sent back to his own home. He was reunited with his family, after a statement pronounced by First Class Magistrate Court at Muttom. He also sought help in retrieval of his mobile phone, Aadhar Card and purse currently lying in the conversion centre. The Court has promised all help in this direction.

Meanwhile Jihadi group Popular Front staged protests outside Court building. They were removed by police forces.
