Keralites denied benefit of Centre’s people friendly schemes

via HK published on June 1, 2015

NEW DELHI: From July 1, you can walk up to a chemist and ask for ‘JanAushadhi’ brand for your medicine, with the Union government set to launch its own brand to sell low cost generic medicines. However Keralites will get no benefit from this scheme as Kerala government has no time to enroll themselves with the same.

“The Centre will procure medicines in bulk from public as well as private drug manufacturing firms and rebrand them under ‘Jan Aushadhi’. These will be sold in retail market at a competitive price, allowing consumers to buy cheaper yet quality product from government,” reports Times of India.

Adding to the indifference being shown by Kerala government towards the Central government scheme is the media house in Kerala and a brigand of Anti Modi social media warriors in the state. They have been successful in indulging in misinformation campaign and propaganda  that Central government has increased the price for 504 essential medicines!

People friendly policies of Central Government are scuttled and sabotaged by vested interests and Kerala government with the sole aim of projecting a blatant lie that Narendra Modi Government is doing nothing for the public.
