Keralite commander for Al-Qaeda?

KOZHIKODE: The intelligence agencies have started probe on the report that a Keralite is the commander of the intelligence wing of the notorious terrorist agency Al-Qaeda. A 27-year-old youth, suspected to have a link with this international terrorist organisation, was arrested by the immigration officials on March 5th from Nedumbassery airport. The arrest was made as per the Look Out Circular (LOC) issued by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).


The youth, identified as a native of Chokli in Kannur, was later handed over to the police and was questioned by agencies like Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).


The CIA had received the details about the youth while questioning the Pakistan terrorists held in New Delhi. The agency also found out that the Keralite was trained in Pakistan and maintained good contacts with the militants there. The Intelligence agencies had already collected numbers from his mobile phone and he and his relatives are under observance in the state.
