Kerala Home Ministry denied permission to arrest Lashkar e Taiba terrorist
Thrissur: The Lashkar e Taiba terrorist Umar Farooq arrested by Karnataka Police from Ajmeer was arrested by Kerala Police earlier in two instances and left free without registering any cases owing pressure from political leadership.
In 2005 November 6 , Umar Farooq was arrested for terrorist activities from Parapanangadi in Mallapuram district. He was then released by the interference of a Muslim League leader. At that time UDF ministry was ruling Kerala. In 2008 Umar Farooq was arrested from Kannur after getting correct lead to his recruitment plans for Lashkar e Taiba. He was then rescued by a Kannur based CPM leader . CPM was more worried about the exposure of Abdul Nasser Madni’s true colours once Police arrest Umar Farooq than that of National security, Reveals Mangalam daily in Malayalam.
Even Anti Terrorist squad under DIG T K Vinod Kumar requested permission to arrest Umar Farooq from Ajmeer , Kerala Home Ministry denied request and were told to keep mum!. It has once again proved that there is no point blaming the Police officers for their failures in exposing Jihadi Terrorists in Kerala but to blame Kerala Soceity as a whole for electing such Anti National Traitors as our MP’s and MLA’s.         Â
