Kerala Hindus of North America (KHNA) awards scholarship
Kerala Hindus of North America has raised funds to provide scholarship for needy Hindu students in Kerala. KHNA has released the list of its first Scholarship awards. A total of 42 scholarships of $ 250.00 shall be given to the winners. A committee consisting of Dr Sreekumar Nair, Ashokan Vengasherry, Prasannan Pillai and The Chairmen of KHNA, made the selection.
The scholarships shall be given out next month at Thiruvananthapuram. The function shall be held on April 8, 2007 at Thiruananthapuram. Prominent community leaders shall attend the function.
According to the Chairman Mr. Udayabhanu Panickar a letter has already been mailed out to all the winners intimating them of the award. KHNA has decided to provide scholarship awards annually for deserving Hindu students.
