Kerala has Learnt to Reject CPM Canards: K Surendran

published on October 21, 2014

Sultan Bathery: BJP state general secretary K Surendran has remarked that a section of visual media operating in Kerala are still not prepared to accept the stark reality that akin to national politics, things in state level politics are now undergoing a drastic change.

Addressing a meet in Wayanad welcoming scores of activists from many different parties joined BJP after severing off their previous political links; Surendran said that these media houses have taken up the task of spreading malicious propaganda on behalf of CPM. “The first step undertaken by these spinning media houses was that Modi government, on assumption of power, will undertake as the first step, the hiking of prices of life saving drugs. But with the centre declaring that as many as 150 life saving drugs will now be distributed free of cost, this fortress of lie has also collapsed,” he said.

Sharpening his verbal attack on the Marxists, Surendran said that “yet another favourite strain of the CPM was that Modi government was catering to safeguard corporate interests alone. But by ensuring that India’s corporate giant Reliance repays its debt of Rs 12500 crores, Modi government has proved where exactly it stands. It was an issue which the UPA government failed in handling for over a decade. They again received a major blow, when they went around spinning tales that PSUs were being targeted by Modi government. In reality, the centre has granted Rs 2950 crores for revival of Kerala’s FACT. Kochi’s Shipyardwill receive a grant of Rs 3500 crores, towards its renovation.”

Dispensing the “falsehood spread by CPM that BJP is a party of forward classes”, Surendran said that the “mass joining of BJP by people from every walk of life, even those of rear class is certainly after rejection of such canards.”
