KOCHI: Kerala Government was forced to withdraw the controversial order exempting political parties and religious institutions from the anti-eviction drive on encroached government lands in the state.

The controversial order was aimed to benefit the illegal Church constructions and Communist party offices in the encroached land. The order exposed the Communist agenda to woo the Christians and their attempt to protect their party cadres who were in forefront of encroachment.

A PIL was filed by Advocate K.V. Kumaran questioning the controversial order. BJP State unit also strongly criticised the double standards of Government. Even the court has ridiculed the stand of  Govt. in the issue.

Today the government pleader informed the High court regarding the withdrawal of controversial order.
