Justice to Krishnapriya’s father
Kochi:In a landmark judgement today by the Kerala High Court,acquitted Sankaranarayanan and other three who was earlier convicted by a lower court for killing Mohammed Koya who had raped and killed Sankaranarayanan’s daughter Krishnapriya.The High Court today acquitted Sankaranarayanan on ‘benefit of doubt’ in a case in which the Manjeri Fast Track Court had earlier found him guilty.
The shocking story took place four years ago, on February 9, 2001. Krishnapriya, a seventh standard student at the PMSA High School at Elankur, near Manjeri, was returning from school when she was raped and killed by her neighbour Muhammed Koya, 24.Shankararaman avenged his daughter’s death by gunning down the murderer when he had come on bail, on June 27, 2002.
