Kochi: The Bharatiya Janata Yuvamorcha’s Kerala unit has demanded that the Government orders a judicial inquiry into cases of the lock-up deaths in the State. P Krishnadas, State secretary of the morcha alleged here on Tuesday that ten lock-up deaths had occurred in the State under the LDF Government. Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan should own responsibility for the custodial deaths and institute a judicial inquiry, he said. Krishnadas demanded that the Government make public the discussions it had held with Dubai Internet City (DIC) which is setting up the Smart City project in Kochi. He alleged that the withdrawal of anti-goonda Act by the Government had helped the “growth of goondas and mafia gangs in the State”.
