Kollam: Abdul Nasser Madni the deadly Jihadi terrorist who acted as a catalyst in pushing Muslim youth into Terrorism is now playing the communal card once again to evade the arrest of Karnataka Police.

The People’s Democratic
Party (PDP) on Monday warned that it could not predict the
repercussions if the Karnataka Police arrest Abdul Nasser Madani as an accused in the Bangalore
blasts. Poonthura Siraj, PDP’s working chairman and a close relative of
Madani, said the party workers were viewing the police’s move against
Madani emotionally.

Talking to newsmen after several meetings
of the leadership on Monday, Siraj and other leaders said the party
would launch an indefinite agitation across the State from Wednesday in
protest against the move against Madani.Hundreds of PDP terrorists are still camping at Anvarssery to resist any move to arrest Madani.

Abdul Nasser Madni was acquitted in connection with Coimbatore blast not because he was a holy man but due to lack of evidence. Once he was released he was treated as a state guest, ignoring the fact that he was accused in scores of other terrorism related cases. All those cases were withdrawn as per the instructions of State Home Ministry, which also included a case for conspiracy to murder former Kerala Chief Minister and CPM leader E K Nayanar.

Madani publicly denied all types of fundamentalist activities, and proclaimed himself to be secular. He also told that he repents for the mistake he had committed in the past. He claims there was a radical change in his way of thinking during his imprisonment at Coimbatore jailPinarai Vijayan and Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan issued good conduct certificate to this deadly terrorist and anointed him as the Apostle of Secularism in Kerala. It was during this time the so called ‘converted’ Madni conspired with Thadiyantavidae Nazeer to plant bombs in Bangalore.

Karnataka Police who collected ample evidence against Abdul Nasser Madni’s involvement had sought the help of Kerala police to arrest this Anti National who is a threat to whole nation. Although Madni’s friend Kodiyeri Balakrishnan told to Media that Kerala Police will help Karnataka Police with the arrest , he made a ridiculous comment that charges against Madani may be framed as Karnataka was ruled by BJP!

Kodiyeri Balakrishnan forgot it was during the CPM rule under E K Nayanar, police registered a number of cases against Madani for issuing communal statements and making inflammatory speeches. It was during CPM Rule Police recovered a large cache of pipe-bombs from different offices and hideouts of this extremist. Madni was arrested from his Kochi home on the night of March 31, 1998 in connection with the Coimbatore bomb blasts. He has been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 153 (a) (spreading communal hatred), 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy), 124 (a) (sedition), and also under the Arms Act.Then as well CPM was ruling the State and the arrest was made by Tamilnadu Police, Certainly BJP was not ruling Tamil Nadu then.
