Jihadi youths held, for threatening Coast Gaurd officials

KOCHI: The Fort Kochi police on Monday arrested six youths for threatening and abusing Coast Guard officials over phone.
The arrested are the natives of Kannur city and nearby areas. The arrested include Abdul Shameer, 24, residing near Sree Krishna temple, Adikadalayi, Kannur, Mohammed Ramees, 19, Ushas, Mohammed Ajisi, 18, Aikkarapoovalappu, Fazil, 24, Vayakkaratheruvu, Kannur, Sarfras, 16, Juhaina’s, Chirakkalkulam and Farhan, 17, Aikkarapoovalappu.
They were arrested from Kannur. Six mobile phones were also seized from them.
