Jihadi attack on Hindu leader , An appeal

Shivsena leader Shri. Prasad (age 42) was attacked at Kothakurissi, Ottappalam, Palakkad district, Kerala on 18th Dec 2013. Case was filed against 12 people. Names of few of this group of 12, directly and indirectly involved in this attack are Muneer, Khalid, Ansar, Rafeeq, Ilias and Feroz. Police has revealed that all of them are activists of SDPI. He was attacked in a similar way two years back when he was working as Secretary of VHP. Later on he had joined Shivsena.

    Shri. Prasad was attacked at 8.45 pm in front of his shop. The activists arrived in bikes and hit Prasad at various parts of his body. Police got one of the weapons used for attack from the place. Swords and clothes used by the attacking men were found from their houses at Keezhoor.

    The reason for the attack as told by Shri. Prasad is that he stood for a Hindu in an issue with muslims. The leader of the muslims’ group had to leave that Hindu without any condition. Till now no one had challenged him like this. And so he planned for this deadly attack. Shri. Prasad was under their watch for a week. He had informed police for protection but it was not taken into consideration. While alone in the shop he was attacked by the activists of SDPI.

    In a muslim dominated area, Shri. Prasad has been working to unite Hindus, create awareness amongst them and fight for them. This is the reason why he was under the watch of muslims.

    On 30th January some unknown people attacked the Jilha secretary of SDPI at the same place. After this, Shri. Prasad, who is undergoing treatment and is totally bedridden is being interrogated and the activists of Shivsena at Ottapalam are being caught by Police and manhandled at Police station. The local police is picking up activists one by one in the past two days. One activist was picked up from Perunthalmanna of Malappuram district by Police in Mufty without any notice or information by local police station. Another was picked up by Police while he was having bath. Why this cruelty to Hindus? Nothing was done when Shri. Prasad was attacked by SDPI activists. He was not even given Police security when he had informed SI that he was under watch by the attackers.

(Oh Hindus, a person working for Hindutva since past many years is suffering today for representing Hindus and standing for them strongly against anti-Hindu activists. And there is no one to help him in need. The attack on him has made him completely bed ridden. His knee caps have been crushed. He has been left with a number of fractures on his legs and right hand. The expenses incurred till now is around 5 lakhs and it will take more in the coming days. His wife cannot go for work as she has to take care of him and children.

Being a Hindu, it is our duty to help him and this is the need of the hour. Lets decide whether fire crackers and procession on elephants are more necessary for us or helping the activists who are fighting for protecting Hindus and Hindutva are more important for us.)
