Jagatguru Swami Sathyananda Saraswathy’s 41st Samadhi Day Program tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Jagatguru Swami Sathyananda Swamiji’s 41st Maha Samadhi Day will be held at Sree Ramadasa Mission, Chenkottukonam, Thriuananthapuram on Wednesday, January 3, 2007. Grand preparations were underway for the 41st Day of his Mahasamadhi.


 


The program will start at 6:00 am with Mahaganapathy Homam. It will be followed by Maha Sudarsana Homam and Lakshaarchana. General public, devotees and disciples of Swami Sathyananda Saraswathy will be participating the Lakshaarchana. Sanyasins and Swamijis belonging to different denominations and Ashramams will join the procession from Ramadasa Ashramam to Jyothi Kshetram where Swamiji was laid to rest. To conclude Yati Puja, Brahmacharis will honor participating Swamijis and Acharayas. The ceremony will be led by Brahmachari Brahma Chaitanya. At 3:00 pm, there will be a special Shradanjali at the Jyothi Kshtram. It will be inaugurated by Sri Narayanji Maharaj, the Matathipathi of Sree Kshetram, Narayanpur, Poona. Swami Prakashananda of Sivagiri Matt will preside the function. Sri P. Parameswaran, Director, Bharathiya Vichara Kendra, Swami Sukranandaji,  NSS President Neelakanta Pillai, Dr. A. Balakrishnan Nair, Advocate C.N.Balakrishnan Nair, Advocate M.I.Vaheed, MLA, T.N. Upendranatha Kurup, RSS Prantha Pracharak Sri Goplalakrishnan, Kummanam Rajasekhranan, Organizing Secretary, Hindu Aiykavedi, Jaganatha Varma, Gokulam Gopalan, Attuvassery Sreenivasan, K.P.Chitrabhanu, Professor Vattaparambil Gopinatha Pillai, N. Peethambara Kurup, Brachmachari Sai Sambath and Dr. Poojapura Krishnan Nair will speak at the ceremony.


 


Swamiji Sathyananda Saraswathy’s life was filled with love for Sanathana Dharma, Hindutva and the nation. Several dignitaries from around the world are expected to assemble tomorrow at the Ashram to worship and pay homage to Swamiji. Dignitaries will recognize his contributions throughout his well-lived spirituals life. In a short span of time he made so much to uplift the Hindu society that one could have ever anticipated. He frequently rose above political bickering by emphasizing the need for Hindu unity. Swamiji constantly reminded Hindus “Do not be afraid, go on without relenting till the final victory’s won”. Till his Maha Smadhi, Swmaiji reminded all Hindus to join hands to preserve, protect and promote Vedic Dharma.
