It is Kaliyuga, Comrades should Read Bhagavatham, says veteran Communist leader Gauriamma.

When Shakespeare said long ago that “The devil can cite scripture for his purpose”, he would not have realized that the Left Winged political party would live up to his quote years later.

Times have changed, it is now Kaliyuga. If you read Mahabharata and Bhagavatham you will know about it…these words form part of the counsel offered to DYFI activists by none other than Gauriamma.

“Do not see this as any shortcoming. If you see any atrocities against women, you can be sure that this is indeed Kaliyuga. If you read Bhagavatham, you will know more about this. Those who have read Bhagavatham will be convinced about this,” said JSS general secretary Gauriamma at the inauguration of Night Assembly organized by DYFI in protest against atrocities against women.

“In my younger days, I did consider that reading these scriptures as shortcomings. But later, I did read them. Now I am 95 years. Reading these is indeed beneficial. The youth, specially should read them,” said Gauriamma.
