Islamisation of Kerala – Govt. to moot International Arabic University in state
Kerala could be placing yet another step towards Arabization if the state government yields in to the proposal put forth by Higher Education Council seeking permission for initiating an International Arabic University in Kerala. More employment opportunities, Globalisation etc are some of the guises under which the plan is set to roll out.
The various names currently submitted by the committee are University for Arabic and International Studies, International University for Arabic Studies, Kerala State International Arabic University etc.
An estimate of rupees 90 crores has been chalked out for the first five years of functioning. Out of this, the plan is to procure rupees 75 crores from state- central government funds, along with support from NRIs.
If the Arab education dream materialises, a minimum of two subjects in the syllabus will be rendered in Arabic. The University syllabus will include 16 post graduation courses, along with M Phil, PhD, Post Doctoral research programmes etc.
With the blessings of Muslim League in power of Education Ministry will soon initiate actions to implement it at the earliest before they come out of power. Vested interests and media feed Kerala society with sleazy stories so that Islamic state of Kerala can be established through backdoor. Â
