Is the SFI losing ground to terrorist front?

via HK published on February 7, 2007

Thiruvananthapuram:From the heydays when the brave SFI foot soldiers dared even the city police commissioner to enter the college campus the students union of the University college in Thiruvananthapuram has gone down to trying and protecting their flock from the new threat, the Campus Front the terrorist face of NDF in campuses.

HK has earlier warned the SFI to look out for more trouble from the people their parent party has supported and grown for their personal benefits. Last evening two SFI activist of the University College was attacked in a busy shopping complex in front of the college.

Shyam and Prashanth have been admitted to the medical college with stab wounds. They allege the attack was carried out by the Campus Front leader of the University College and goondas from outside. The college has been closed to thwart further incidents. The students were attacked with knives and swords.

The incident opens a can of worms for the SFI which till now reigned as the supreme leaders of the college campus. They have never allowed any other students union to work on the campus. An open attack infront of the college, in a busy locality, in the middle of the city shows that the SFI is now being openly challenged.

The attack comes in retaliation for a attack on two CF activists in the college for taking out a rally inside the campus.
