In Kerala, Compensation is based on Religion of deceased

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Government’s Anti Hindu stances are nothing new and the latest is now by denying the compensation to the families of Ayyappa’s who died in Kannamoola Accident. 11 Ayyappa’s from Andhra Pradesh were died in the tragedy which shocked Sabarimala pilgrims.

Kerala Government had announced 5 lakhs Rupees compensation very second day and now they are retracting from the pledge. Now Kerala Government wants Devaswom Board to pay the compensation. But Devaswom Commissioner made it clear that due to court warning not to spend money for anything apart from that related to Temple , board cannot pay compensation.

When Muslim children died in Boat accident in Malappuram district and when Tanker blast happened in Muslim dominated Karunagapally , State Government had enough money to the compensation .Even for the Tourists who died in Thekkady boat Tragedy were given 5 Lakhs each as compensation. But when it is the case of Ayyappa devotees who bring crores of revenue to State Treasury – Government cannot spare a single penny.
