Illegal Drug Trade of Jihadi Terrorists in Kerala

KOZHIKODE : Police in Kozhikode has arrested a Muslim extremist Puttanmakil Majeed at Beypore, Kozhikode with more than two kilo of high grade OPIUM and more than 2 lakhs of counterfeit rupees. Majeed was arrested by C.M. Pradeep, Kozhikode Narcotic Assistant Commissioner. In addition to Opium, police found several mobile phones, drug paraphernalia, weighing machine and Rs 1,68000.

 

Police has confiscated his diary with telephone numbers of his agents in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Police suspect that the high grade Opium was manufactured in Afghanistan and transported by jihadi agents to him via Pakistan.

 

Newspapers are replete with reports of crime, violence, terrorism, illegal drug distribution, hawala money transaction, bank robbery, murder, tax evasion, kidnapping, terrorist threats, and  bombing committed by Kerala Jihadi terrorist groups aligned with Pakistan extremist groups and ISI.

 

 Profits from illegal drug trade, counterfeit rupee distribution and smuggling are an integral part of Islamic extremist groups like NDF. Illegal drug distribution and Jihadi terrorism are closely linked. Profit from drug sales is essential for Jihadi terrorist organizations. Islamic extremist groups like NDF recycle profits from the sale of illegal drugs into business, real estate and the media. Islamic extremist groups have bought legitimate business houses, hotels, real estate and industries worth cores of rupees gained from drug trade and counterfeit money distribution.

 

Intelligence sources say that extremist organization like NDF accumulated war chest of cores of rupees from the sale of illegal drugs. By investing in legitimate businesses and real estate, they make their ill gotten wealth appear legitimate.
