Illegal construction at AKG Centre

The CPI-M State committee office is carrying out illegal construction.
This information was given in a written format by the Deputy Secretary
of the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation to Joseph M Puthuserry
MLA on his request under the Right to Information Act. The Deputy
Secretary also said in his reply that the Corporation has stopped the
illegal construction.
 
The secretary has in his reply also said that the Corporation did not
know whether the Government was bringing in legislation against
construction of multi-storied buildings. The Corporation also said that
it did not know about the accusation that the CPI(M) was carrying out
construction in a hurried manner to overcome the legislation.  
 
AKG Centre, the CPI(M) State committee office, is located at the heart
of Thiruvananthapuram and Local Administration Minister Paloli Mohammed
Kutty is a frequent visitor to the centre.
