Home Minister admits,Kerala coast under threat

Thiruvananthapuram:Kerala Sea cost has turned to a Jehadi hot Bed is not at all a new news to those who live in Kerala and to those who know Kerala.But it seems the Home Minister of Kerala is aware about it only when Central Intelligence reiterated their warning two days back.


 


Due to stern warning from Central intelligence officials and RAW , Kerala Home Minister succumb to acknowledge the threat today.The arrest of an ISI agent from Kozhikode and another Pakistani terrorist two days back  and the recent efforts of Jehadi terrorists in Kerala to flare up communal passions are all in line to the warnings of Intelligence.


 


The State Government has stepped up security arrangements along the Kerala coast following a warning from the Centre about the possibility of extremist forces infiltrating through the sea for carrying out subversive activities, Home Minister Kodieyri Balakrishnan has said. Besides stepping up coastal patrolling, the authorities concerned had been instructed to review the security of strategic spots, he told the State Assembly on Tuesday. An internal security monitoring system had been put in place under an Inspector General of Police and special cells set up in each district. Coordination among police and Intelligence agencies had also been increased. The Centre had also given permission to set up coastal police stations, he said.
