Home Dept.ordered an Enquiry on policemen having links with NDF terrorists
It is learnt that the state home department had asked the police intelligence wing to provide details of policemen having links with NDF.
This is in the wake of the recent incidents at Iratti in which an NDF worker was killed by CPM men. When the culprits were brought to the police station,a policemen who was not on duty that day immediatetely came to the station and videographed the accused using his mobile phone. On enquiry it was found that the policeman was having close links with NDF and he had videographed the accused for giving it to NDF men.
On a detailed a enquiry ,it was revealed that the this policemen attended the NDF State level camp conducted recently at Karunagappally and he has given training to the NDF workers. It was also found that he had taken long leave for going abroad and he was using this leave for giving various training to NDF terrorists.During the last UDF govt, there was a departmental enquiry on this policemen but due to political influence of some of the then ruling parties ,it was stopped.
The police estimates that there are around 600 such criminals in the state police force.Whenever police plans any secret raids, such people are in the habit of leaking it out to the criminals involved.Because of this the credibility of the Kerala police have taken a beating.
