Alappuzha: Bharateeya Janata Party – Kerala has decided to launch a massive groundwork across Kerala before the assembly election due in April – May 2006. The party has already decided Hindutva would be the main plank of the BJP in the coming assembly polls where the party would face Congress-led UDF and the CPI(M)-controlled LDF on its own.

“BJP would expose the vote bank politics of the UDF and the LDF to the people of Kerala”, said party State President P.S. Sridharan Pillai.

The BJP had been able to increase its vote share in Kerala in the 2004 Lok Sabha polls and is expecting to win 4-5 seats in the coming assembly election. “Party would contest all the 140 assembly seats and the state leaders are still working out the possibilities of any alliance with other parties”, said Sridharan Pillai.
