Kottayam: Viswa Hindu Parishad President Pravin Togadia has given a clarion call for the Hindu community to regain its prestige and prosperity which it has been losing over a period of time. Addressing a conclave of Hindu Helpline workers in Kottayam, Togadia said that segregations and divisions of Hindu society are the prime cause leading to its disintegration.

Pointing out that Bharat was once the exemplar when it came to security, employment opportunities, trade, agriculture and education, Togadia said that these are the very areas where the country is facing a huge challenge. “Farmers live in poverty today. Every thirty minutes, there is a farmer suicide somewhere in India,” he said.

Reiterating the danger glaring at the face of Hindu society about its dwindling population, Togadia said, “Independent India has seen a steep fall in the percentage of Hindu population. We face numerous challenges, including this. And under such circumstances, Viswa Hindu Parishad has decided to implement project that will ensure provision of food, education, health insurance, employment opportunities, trade, business and agriculture prospects to every family.”

With regard to the agricultural society of Kerala, Togadia said that specific experiments are being planned in the line of work. “There should be a movement to identify and nurture the best agriculturalist in each village,” exhorted the VHP president.
