Hindu resurgence leading to Gharwapasi – All Kerala Cheramar Hindu Mahasabha

published on January 16, 2015

The All Kerala Cheramar Hindu Mahasabha has lambasted those who have been raking up controversies related to Ghar Vapsi. Speaking about the sweeping reforms that have taken place in Hindu society over years, state vice-president of AKCHM PS Prasad said, “History is a witness to how people in Bharat have converted to other religions from Hinduism, for varied reasons. So those who have been raising a hue and cry over the return of those converted long back to the fold of Hinduism on their own, are doing so at the behest of some vested interests. It would be curious to know on whose behalf these people are working on.”

Throwing light on the mass scale conversion of those belonging to Dalit community by Christian missionaries, Prasad said that even after conversion, these Dalits were conveniently kept in their backward rung. “Even though there were a few demarcating aspects of the religion, which prompted those belonging to backward communities to convert to other religions, these discriminating features have long been done away with on a legal basis. The resurgence of Hinduism that took place has encompassed people of all sections into its fold. It is members of the Dalit community that have converted on a mammoth scale. In Christianity alone, there happens to be a 10.5% of those belonging to backward classes. Such is the severity of conversion. But there was no ruckus created then. So why all this uproar now? There were no controversies stirred up then- why all that now?” he said.

Exposing the conversion tactics being indulged in by the Evangelists, Prasad said that Pentecoast groups continue targeting backward groups of society with the sole aim of converting them. “They are doing it unimpeded. Why isn’t anyone raising their voice over this?  Conversion is done by offering many false promises and enticing with various fancies. But even after conversion, these people have gained nothing in terms of spirituality or on the materialistic plane. As for receiving the benefits extended towards those of minority communities, there is a crafty handful who grabs them all for themselves. Hence truth is that these converted people receive no justice or benefits, which have prompted them to reconvert to their pristine faith- Hinduism. There has not been a single report on these people being coerced or enticed into Hinduism. But those raising false alarm against this are those who stand partners to the anti-Hindu agenda,” he added.
