Hindu Parliament’s Viswa Retna award to Mata Amridanandamayi

Thiruvananthapuram: Uthradom Thirunal Marthanda varma conferred Hindu Parliament’s Viswa Retna’ award to Mata Amridanandamayi here.

Addressing the devotees, Amma said: “Generous hearts are on the wane. Nowadays, we fail to talk from our hearts. Hearts don’t meet anymore. Most are living like machines.”

“Human life is becoming more and more cacophonous, because we are getting away from the point of love. Noise makes only crowds, not families. There are only crowds everywhere nowadays. We can only hear weird and unbearable noises now,” she said.
She emphasised the need for protecting environment. She exhorted the authorities to restart the ‘Sevanavaaram,’ a week-long cleaning programmes by school children.

“The nature, which once blessed us with resources, is now in a state of devastation. Environmental protection and cleaning have become a fashion now. We have destroyed our nature by 40 per cent within a span of 25 years,” she said.

SNDP leader Vellapalli Nateshan, Speaker G Karthikeyan, Agricultural Minister Mohanan also addressed the meet.
