Hindu organisations offers condolences on Swamiji’s death

Several Hindu organisations including the RSS and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad mourned the demise of Sathyananda Saraswathi.


A.R. Mohan has said that the Swamiji turned the Ramadasa Aashramam into a renowned centre of spirituality. He was in the forefront to question all the injustice being faced by the Hindu community in Kerala. His fighting spirit was revealed through his role in Nilackal agitation, Guruvayur Temple Liberation Struggle and agitations against the Devaswom Bill in 1996, he said in a statement here


 


According to a statement from VHP organising secretary Kummanam Rajasekharan, the Swamiji had enriched the spiritual Kerala by his presence and contributions. He was a selfless saint who worked hard towards social reformation through preaching Dharma.


 


Swamiji’s funeral will take place at the Jyothi Kshethram set up at the Ashramam between 1 pm and 3 pm on Saturday.
