Hawala flourishing in Kerala

Thrissur:Inspite the alert on Hawala transactions all over India in the wake of Mumbai blast, ‘Proponents of Financial terrorism’ in Kerala is least bothered about it.

When the anti terrorist squad is probing into the inner network of Hawala agents, Kerala police registered today an unusual case in which the petitioner is a Hawala agent itself. It seems someone duped him posing as Vigilance officer and robbed more than seven lakhs rupees of Hawala money from him!

Usually Hawala agents wont dare to file petition in such cases as it is illegal, But Hussainkutty from Thamarassery who lost the money from Trichur informed police as if it is the duty of Police to protect these Hawala agents. Interestingly police also registered a case and had started investigation too!

Instead of wiping out this source of financial terrorism in Kerala, Now police may give escort to these Hawala agents and make sure the money reached in the hands of Terrorists safely!  

It’s a common knowledge that via Hawala, crores of Rupees is reaching the state every month from Middle East. Investigations on Hawala transactions were all incapacitated and left half way. There were reports with enough proof that 350 crores of rupees has reached in the hands of an Islamic terrorist in Kozhikode via Hawala. Although Police started enquiry with much pomp that too havenn’t reached anywhere.
