Harmony Between NSS and SNDP is Overwhelming: Kummanam

published on July 1, 2012

The declaration made by leaders of NSS and SNDP, that all ventures henceforth will be a joint undertaking has been welcomed by State General Secretary of Hindu Aikya Vedi Kummanom Rajashekharan. He stated that with this declaration, any trace of dissent or
misunderstanding should be avoided, paving way for a united and cordial stand, which alone will give strength to the Hindu society to face the discordant issues now glaring at it.

“Recent developments by the state government of Kerala like appeasement of the minority community and utter disregard for people belonging to the majority community are now beyond any limits of endurance. It has crossed all limits of tolerance. In such circumstances it is vital, taking into account the wellbeing of the
state that there is cord of unity among the various Hindu communities,” said Kummanom.

“The members of the scheduled castes and tribes are now facing a lot of difficulties and dissatisfaction. Instead of tackling their problems, the government gives priority to the members of the minority community. They now stand committed solely to the catering of their matters. The wayward and irrational bargaining made by the Indian
Union Muslim League and the pressure tactics resorted to by the Kerala Congress has placed the state’s political situation in the most chaotic disarray. The latest of this is the plan to convert into aided schools, those institutions which the government planned to take over,” said the state General Secretary of Hindu Aikya Vedi.

“This will pave the way for greater thoughts on concepts of righteousness, which will in turn pave the way for stronger reactions from people. This will lead to more constructive actions from people,” opinioned Kummanom. He also added that since the decisions and implementations by ministers belonging to Muslim League has now taken
a controversial turn, they should come to an immediate standstill and that the Chief Minister himself must take over the Department of Education.
