Guruvayur Temple is not Kovalam Beach

Kozhikode:Hindu Aikya Vedi Joint Secretary Shri Haridas inaugurated the Sathyagraha infront of Azhakodi Devi Temple here on Wednesday.

Hundreds of Devotees joined the Sathyagraha which was being organized under Azhakodi Temple Liberation Movement. Sathyagraha which started today will be conducted till 19^th June, as an initial warning to Government to stay away from Temple administration.

Inaugurating the Sathyagraha , Shri Haridas warned that interference in Temple matters is a biggest folly in a Secular Nation and targeting Hindu Temples only is an unjustifiable discrimination . Here Hindu has every right to Worship in his Temple and If he knows how to conduct pooja, how to maintain a Temple then he very well know how to administer a Temple as well. If this peaceful protests are falling on deaf ears then Hindus will be forced to get into the next stage and once the tolerant Hindu arises, No force on earth can stop him.

What Sudhagaran thinks is that Guruvayur is a Tourist place like Kovalam Beach where any Tom, Dick and Harry can come and go. There is no need of any advice from Sudhagaran on how to reform Hindu Society. If looked into the History of Hindus, We never hesitated to make and adapt changes according to the time unlike other religions. It was not because of any Communist guidance, Hindus reached here and from now onwards also wee don’t need any advice from the likes of Sudhagaran.

Regarding the DYFI move to conduct sathyagraha in front of Guruvayur Temple to allow all Christians and Muslims inside the temple, Haridas told, “It’s nice to see that at last our DYFI Comrades are willing to come and sit in front of Guruvayoorappan”

But warned that no such political tricks can influence a Hindu and Hindus are very well aware of their double standards.

“We are not saying  that every one should be allowed inside a Muslim Mosque, But our DYFI comrades should go and sit infront of Mosques after finishing the Guruvayur Sathyagraha to provide Mosque entry to their devoted Muslim Women” told Haridas.

Haindava Conventions are also organized in different parts of the district during this initial phase of protest.
