Guruvayur Ekadasi

Temple town Guruvayur is fully prepared for this years auspicious Guruvayur Ekadasi on Tommorow. Guruvayur ekadasi is one of the most important festivals for the devotees of Sri Krishna 

There will be Udayasthamaya Pooja,ekadasi Villakku and a special Kazcha seeveli. A procession with the participation of a caparisoned elephant  with the accompaniment of ‘panchavadyam’ from the Parthasarathi Temple to the Guruvayur temple.will be the special attraction. The Chembai music festival, held as part of Guruvayur Ekadasi celebrations was started on   November 26.

The devotees  will spend their time in temples with namajapams and Githa parayanam all over kerala.Those who took Ekadasi vruth will not take any rice food on the day. 

It is on this  day Lord Sreekrishna gave Geethopadesam and vishawaroopadarshana to Arjuna, and it is on the same day Melpathur Narayan Battatiripadu completed the writing of Narayaneeyam
