Government responsible for increasing extremist activities

via Mahadev published on March 15, 2006

For the growing terrorist activities in the state the government is completely responsible, as it has been following a soft approach towards the extremists  as part of its appeasement policy, according to Mr Kummanam Rajasekharan, Organising Secretary, VHP, Kerala.

He said that the government’s policies have been so far to encourage the extremists and hence all those believe in democracy should join together to oppose this in the interest of peace and harmony in the state. The state government was not allowing the Hindu organisations to show their protest against the terrorist attacks while it was openly keeping a soft corner for the terrorists so as to appease the minorities, he alleged.

This kind of soft corner seems to have compelled the Chief Minister from placing the Marad Judicial Inquiry Commission’s report before the Assembly even though it was presented to the CM about two weeks back and the House was in session. He alleged that it might be to protect the culprits besides covering the crucial/vital findings of the Commission. This kind of approach on such matters would lead to dangerous repercussions in the state, he warned.
