Alappuzha: In yet another instance of Congress sponsored violence, a Dalit family in Kerala has been brutally attacked for not casting their vote in favour of the party. The incident took place in ward 6 of Haripad Thrikkunnappuzha, the constituency of state home minister Ramesh Chennithala. The victim, Krishnan and his family were roughed up violently by a gang of Congress party workers. His son has sustained serious injuries.

Krishnan’s family consists of members who have grievous health disorders. His eldest son Jayan had a kidney transplant recently. Following a request put forth to Chief Minister’s ???????????? programme, the family received monetary aid. In return the Congress party workers expected Krishnan and his family to cast their votes in the party’s favour.

Sources have indicated that the Congress party which won in the ward barged into Krishnan’s house during their merry making and began their onslaught. Even though the hapless family gave a complaint, no action was initiated. Following this, a petition was given via Hindu organizations.

The police are now pestering Krishnan to resolve the issue without moving officially.
