Give BJP a chance: Advani

KOZHIKODE: BJP leader and Opposition leader in the Lok Sabha, L K Advani, has opined that the CPM-Congress bonhomie is dangerous for the development and democracy of the country.

Addressing an election meeting of the BJP here on Monday, Advani said the fight between the UDF and the LDF in Kerala is a farce.

Both the CPM and the Congress have put up a joint fight against the AIADMK in Mahe, which is part of Pondicherry state. The same parties have donned different roles in Kerala only to hoodwink the people of the state.

The BJP leader said the state would see the lotus bloom in the ensuing election. “Let a few lotuses bloom in Kerala Assembly. That will change the sluggishness in the development of the state. The need of the hour is to give a chance for the BJP in Kerala,” Advani said.

Development has come to a standstill in Kerala, which has been caught between the UDF and the LDF. When the Congress ruled the independent India in the first 50 years, the nation could not progress much. However, the BJP-led government could change the face of the country by pro-developmental approach, he said.

People should put an end to the misrule of the LDF and UDF, he said.
