Kottayam:Â The Ghar Wapsi programme initiated by Hindu Help Line has met with vibrant success in Kerala. The event was organized to bring back to Hindu fold, those who had strayed to other religions for various reasons.
Sources from Hindu Helpline have stated that large number of families hailing from Palakkad, Kasargode, Thiruvananthapuram etc have registered for the programme, expressing great enthusiasm in returning to their parent fold.
According to Hindu Helpline, “there have been scores of phone calls from people hailing from various districts in Kerala. Calls have been pouring in, to 9497545511, the number publicized in social media pages.â€
However, calls expressing eagerness are not the only ones pouring in, to the given number. Volunteers of Hindu Helpline have stated that death threats have also been coming in, to the number.
The Ghar Wapsi programme has been scheduled for December 25 this year and will be organized by Viswa Hindu Parishad. Programmes will be held in Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kasargode, Palakkad, Thodupuzha etc. Events will be centred around temples, where ceremonies of ablution and upanayanam will be held, welcoming those who had once strayed away, to their parent religion.
