Gharwapasi continues; 10 more Christian families returned to Swadharma

Kottayam: As many as 17 persons, from 10 families have returned to the Hindu fold. The persons hailing from sections of ‘Christian Pulaya’ and ‘Cheramar’ are natives of Uzhavoor and Veliyannoor.

In an initiation ceremony conducted by VHP’s Dharma Prasar in Ainkombu Parekkavu Devi temple, certificates were granted to those who returned, by head of Sree Ramadasashrama Swami Brahmananda Saraswati.

According to the data released by Hindu Helpline, In Kottayam alone, over 200 families have returned to their Hindu roots. In 2014, over a thousand families are said to have reconverted to Hinduism.
