PNS | Kollam: The Sasthamkotta police on Thursday registered cases against Abdul Nasser Madani and PDP’s working chairman Poonthura Siraj on charges of holding a provocative Press conference, disruption of people’s freedom of travel (with protest demonstrations) and creation of situation of suicide attempt by party workers. The police also arrested two activists on these charges and others. Cases had also been initiated against several other PDP workers.

Meanwhile, Kerala BJP president V Muraleedharan alleged in Kozhikode that Kodiyeri was trying to delay the arrest by striking a secret deal with Madani’s PDP. He said the Kerala Police were raising technical reasons to delay the arrest while the warrant against Madani, who was not holding any official position, could be executed by a police officer of the rank of sub-inspector.
