Famous Aluva Mannapuram Mahadeva Temple vandalised and desecerated

Aluva: Mannapuram Madeva Temple, One of the holiest temple in the banks of Periyar were thousands converge to perform ” Pitrutarppanam”  (Performing libation of water to dead ancestors.) is been vandalised and desecrated by drunkards. Stone lamps of the temple were destroyed and Snake temple attached to the temple has been vandalised.  

The temple is under the management of Devaswom Board and no security is appointed to guard this holiest temple which generates crores of income to the Government during Mahasivarathri and Pitrutarppanam.

Police arrested a Misguided Hindu youth named Vipin. Aluva has recently turned out to be the epicentre of Jihad in Miiddle Kerala. Popular front terrorists are involved in dividing Hindu society on caste lines. Attacks against temples by using misguided  Hindu youth itself is one of the strategy used by these Jihadi organisations.

Hindu Aikya Vedi and Vishwa Hindu Parishath condemned the attack and demanded strict action against the culprits. VHP also demanded vigilance enquiry against Devaswom official’s negligence in safeguarding the temples.

Government controlled temples are more prone to such attacks as the culprits know that the management is least bothered with any such attacks, theft or Vandalism
