Fake Degree of Cochin University VC Abdul Aziz
Minister orders probe on degree of Cochin University VC
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Education Minister M A Baby ordered an enquiry on the irregularities in the Doctor of Science degree, secured by Cochin University Vice Chancellor Abdul Aziz. The irregularities were noted from his bio-data, which was submitted for the appointment vice chancellor post. Aziz secured the Doctor of Science degree which is equivalent to D Litt, while he was working as a professor of Marine Biology in Kerala University. An examination conducted in the minister’s office found that usual criteria required for this doctorate degree is not fulfilled in the case of Aziz.
