Evangelical agenda behind Aranmula Airport

In connection with the agitation against the Aranmula Air Port Project I would like to project the secret agenda behind it. The agenda behind the bringing of Air Port to Aranmula, even as there are air ports within speedily reachable distance, is nothing but the long cherished dream of the communal elements to demolish the Parthasarathy temple with its splendour and gaiety.

Long ago these communal elements erected a granite wall under the pretext of protecting the Maraman river bed where the annual Christian religious congregation have been in meeting. But the real aim behind this was to deviate the course of River Pampa to take a northerly course and then a southerly one as to pound the satrakkadavu of the temple. The incessant flow of the river pounding the its southern banks over the years would have definitely destroyed the satrakkadavu and even the temple had it not been for the wise among the Hindus who discerned the snake in the grass and took timely movements to stop erecting granite construction under the pretext to protecting the Maraman river bed. This construction had in mind the destruction of the temple.

It is this long kept dream of the communal elements that now puts on the mantle of Aranmula air port. In fact it is high time that the Hindus once again united like they did during the Nilackal agitation to protect their temple and deity of Tiru-Aranmula.
