Environment Clearance given for Aranmula Airport will be Withdrawn: Prakash Javadekar Assures

Union Minister for Environment Prakash Javadekar has stated that the clearance given by Ministry of Environment towards construction of Greenfield Airport in Aranmula, will be cancelled. The statement comes as an assurance to the scores of dwellers in the hamlet, which has earned worldwide fame as a UNESCO certified ‘heritage Village’.

Earlier, convenor of Aranmula Paithrika Grama Karma Samiti, Kummanam Rajashekharan had met the minister, where the matter was discussed. The minister’s assurance came in thereafter.
