THE ABSENCE OF `NILAVILAKKU’ AND NATIONAL  ANTHEM FROM EMERGING KERALA INAUGURAL FUNCTIONS

The absence of `Nilavilakku’ and National Anthem from the inaugural function of Emerging Kerala clearly unveils the  designs of the lobby that organized the events and the rumor that the programme in fact should have been named as `Emerging Malappuram’.  The absence of `Nilavilakku’ from a function controlled by Kunjalikutty and his stooges was no surprise, but avoiding National Anthem from a programme inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister demonstrates the callous attitude of these ministers and the disregard they have for the law of the land.  What surprised everyone present on the podium and the hall has been the fact that, the Chief Minister who presided the function did look at the programme chart and announced National Anthem recital, but nothing happened. There was no anthem and no one bothered to question about the lapse.

Anyone who had a look at the list of projects presented at the 3 day function could make out that majority projects have come from Muslim groups inside and outside Kerala.  There were also reports in the media that kith and kin of Minister Kunjali Kutty were involved in land purchase spree in and around some such projects presented in the meet.  It all points to the fact that the programme when implemented will result in the emergence of few business ventures aimed at capturing large amount of landed property, pumping in the NRI funds amazed abroad at various disguise and establishing the dominance of a particular community. The result shall be further pushing back of the majority community haplessly gazing at the wonders happening around them.
