Dumping of filth at Kelu Gudde BJP takes out protest march

KASARGOD: BJP took out a march to the municipal office on Thursday demanding action against the dumping of filth at Kelu Gudde, the trenching ground of the municipality.

Inaugurating the march, BJP district president K. Jagadeesha said the municipality has been dumping filth in the area without taking precautionary measures to prevent diseases arising from pollution.

He said birds are scattering the leftovers dumped in Kelu Gudde polluting the wells in the area. The municipality is not taking any steps to cover the trenching ground with nets. He said the garbage was contaminating the water sources in the area.

Hundreds of BJP activists took part in the march. S Kumar, V Ravindran, N Ashok Kumar and Venugopal addressed the BJP volunteers.
