Documentary on Aranmula Wins Award
A documentary depicting the various socio-environmental issues beings faced in the heritage village of Aranmula has won the prestigious Atlas Film Critics Award. Directed by Sreejith, a final year law student of Ernakulam Law College, the documentary titled ‘Prakrithiyil Vinasham Parannirangumbol’, brings to light via sketches, the various ecological, environmental and social hazards faced, in the wake of the proposal to construct an international airport in Aranmula.
The documentary has won the second place in the section for news based documentary. The same feature has won the Filco Campus Film Award as well, along with the best Campus Documentary for 2012.
