Dishonour to Thunchath Ezhuthachan- Jamaat-e-Islami emblem instead of Literary Genius’s Statue!

via HK published on July 17, 2008

Adhyathma Ramayanam Killipattu penned by the great Scholar Thunchathu Ramanujan Ezhuthassan is recited daily in Hindu Homes and Temples across the State during this month.

Thunchath Ezhuthachan is also considered to be the father of Malayalam language. This is the right time to remind sleeping Hindus about the great dishonour our society had done to father of Malayalam.

In Thunchan parambu , Tirur, the birth place of this literary genius now we can see the emblem of  Jamaat-e-Islami- An Ink pot and a brush!

Few years ago, Malayalam lovers and devout Hindus wanted to erect a statue of Ezhuthachan at his birthplace. But jihadi fundamentalist groups opposed the statue erection saying that it amounts to idol worship, which is against the tenets of Islam. Even today, the demand for an Ezhuthachan statue at Tirur remains unfulfilled.

The issue of the erection of the statue of Thunchathu Ezhuthachan, father of Malayalam language and literature, at his birthplace Tirur, now a Muslim-dominated area, has once again proved the Muslim difficulty in stomaching an idol, as it is un-Islamic.

Finally the issue was settled with the erection of a symbolic representation of an inkpot and brush, the official emblem of Jamaat-e-Islami, instead of his statue!!

It is true that Ezhuthachan, in his efforts at the poetical composition, used only stylus and palmyra leaf for writing on, he never used a pen or ink. What is the mental inclination behind this fanaticism? No doubt, it happened so because of the ever-growing muscle power of the minorities in Kerala.

You can see a copy of Adhyathmaramayanam in almost all Hindu homes, Which they held close to their heart while passing through difficult times and phases in their life.

The Islamic bigots who owe their allegiance  to Arabic and Quran may not have anything much to take pride in Malayalam or Ramayana – But there is a big majority of Hindus living in this state who still holds it close to our heart.

Today or Tommorow the sleeping Hindus will awake to restore the glory of Sanathana Dharma in the land of Adi Sankara, who revived Santhana Dharma in whole Bharath
